How To Perform an Inspection

Conquest supports three different Inspection processes which allow:

updating an Asset’s attribute data, while retaining the previous data as history - this is called a Condition Inspection

adding a Defect to an Asset - this is called a Defect Inspection

adding an Inspection to an Asset based on a Standard Inspection in the Knowledge Base - this is called an Asset Inspection

Condition, Defect and Asset Inspections are different things.  While information about all three will be displayed on the Inspection tab of an Asset form, they do not affect each other.  The Inspection date in the Current Condition section, relates to the attribute data of the Asset, specifically the condition attributes.  The Inspection Date in the Defect Inspection section, relates to the date a Defect Inspection was carried out on the Asset.  The Inspection date in the Asset Inspection section relates to a specific Asset Inspection.

Conquest maintains a history of all the inspections carried out on an Asset.  The dates at which these inspections occurred, are displayed on the Inspection tab of the Asset form.  The detail of any such inspection can be viewed by selecting it and clicking the View button.

Regular inspection schedules for all types of Inspections can be set-up.

See the section below for detail on how to set up and perform Condition Inspections, Defect Inspections and Asset Inspections.
