Response times define, when the work to remedy a Defect must be performed by.
When a Standard Defect is first created the Response time grid will just show the first column. In this case the first column’s heading is Asset Priority. This is the title of the Priority Hierarchy as configured in the Hierarchy Editor and selected for the option “Asset User Hierarchy 1 [Asset Priority]” in the System Options.
(If nothing is displayed on the Response Times tab, then the priority hierarchy and option settings have not been properly configured.)
The Response time grid allows any number of different Severities to be defined, eg “> 10mm” and “< 10mm”. Each of these Severities can be assigned response times for each of the different Priorities.
For these response times to be activated, Assets for which Defects are created based on this Standard Defect, must have a priority set in System User Hierarchy 1.
To create a new severity select the add button. Then set the Description and Response times for this Type of Defect.
