How To Manage Inspection Programs

This feature is available for licensed users of Conquest Mobile from the “Tools | Conquest Mobile” menu, with these options:

      Inspection Programs

      Clear Downloads

An Inspection Program represents the Data and, optionally, Map layers that define the scope of Download operations to be subsequently performed by Conquest Mobile; both Tablet PC and Pocket PC versions.

An Inspection Program consists of;

A list of the Inspection Programs already defined

The Conquest data filter used by the Inspection Program

The number of Asset records the filter will retrieve from Conquest

A checkbox to permit downloaded Assets to be edited on the mobile device

A list of map layers to be downloaded with the data, used by CMTPC but not CMPPC. Only one view can be set as the default view to be displayed, when CMTPC starts.

When an Inspection Program is no longer required, it can be deleted by selecting it in the list of Inspection Programs then clicking the Delete button.

CMTPC

      Does not record new Assets.

Allows Asset Conditions or Attributes to be changed during an Inspection, which will generate a Condition Inspection in Conquest at the time of Upload.

Records Map Features for Defects based on the Map Views downloaded.

Records Defects, Actions and Asset Inspections

CMPPC

Allows the addition of new assets

Allows Asset Descriptive, Condition and Dimension data to be changed during an Inspection, which will generate a Condition Inspection in Conquest at the time of Upload. Only Assets that fit within the criteria of the Inspection Program filter can be edited but new Assets can be added anywhere within the CMPPC Asset Explorer.

Records Defects and Asset Inspections but not Actions

The Download function conforms to the Inspection Program “Allow Assets to be Edit on Device” check-box in the Inspection Program but can override it.

Should two Mobiles download the same Inspection Program at the same time then the second mobile to download will not be able to do any editing of Assets, even though the “Allow Assets to Edited on Device” check-box is ticked, but it will still be able to add new Assets and will be able to work with Defects.
