Action Menu

Upon opening an Action, the Action menu becomes available on the menu bar.  The menu gives access to a number of functions for this Action.  This menu can also be accessed by right clicking on the Action.

Option

Purpose

Apply Standard Action

Opens a list of predefined Standard Actions that are available for the Asset Type.

Request Approval

Enters today’s date in the field – Appr. Requested.  This can be edited.

Work Order

Opens the Issue Work Oder form where the Work Order Format, Documents to be attached, Issue date (defaults to today) can be selected. As well as the option to Preview, Print or email the Work Order.

Complete

Opens the Complete Action form where the Complete Date (defaults to today), Response Date, Cost, Notes and Completed By (defaults to current user) can be entered.

Reverse Completion

Marks the action as uncompleted while keeping the last completion details entered.

Reports

Opens a list of the available action reports to be Reviewed or Printed.

Assignment History

Opens the Organisation Assignment History form displaying all the users, and other information,  to which this action was assigned.

Relate Requests

Opens a form allowing the user to filter-out the request or requests to be related to this action.

Relate Defects

Lists the uncompleted defects on this asset from which the user can select those to be related to the action.

Master Action

Presents three further options

 

Select

Opens a list of predefined Master Actions for selection for this action.

 

View

Opens the Master Action to which this action belongs

 

Clear

Clears the link between this action and the Master Action.
