Prerequisites
Conquest II 2.58 requires the SQL Server Spatial Data component, which is not available in SQL Server 2005, which some customers may still be using, in which case an upgrade to SQL Server 2008 R2 may be required before the Conquest II Installation.
When upgrading from Version 2.57b2 or earlier, the “Administrator Installation” option must be ticked to install the files for:
• Scripts for upgrading the database
• The Report Patch to be applied, post-installation, to rebuild the Conquest Reports. For more details see Upgrading Reports
For details on installing Conquest II, see the Conquest Installation Guide.
Changes
Performance and Stability Enhancements
• Copy an Asset and copy the Documents attached to it as well. A check is now performed on the Asset to be copied to see if it has Documents, and if so, ask the User whether they want to copy them to the new Asset
• In the User Accounts form, the list of Users can be switched between:
• Just those who are active (i.e. Have at least one of the; Administrator, User or Requests User checkboxes ticked)
•All Users
•The Asset Notes field will expand to display as much of the text pasted into it as will fit within the Asset form, when the cursor is clicked outside of the Notes field
•Defects can now be Imported to Proposed Assets
•The Business Rule to restrict the setting of Residual Value to Valued Assets has been enforced in the Asset form, on Non-valued Assets, by disabling the use of the “Assessed Residual Value” and “Manually Set” fields. The term “Proceeds” has been dropped in favour of “Residual”
•Administrators can now create Asset Inspections regardless of their Asset Permissions
•The “Map All” function on a Defect View that filters by Type now works
•The revised Defect form now shows AssetID and allows viewing of the Asset
•The E-mail Merge Editor form now works properly
•The cqReport patch now contains an upgrade to add UserList fields to the Reports beginning with “rptGroup”
•Deleting a User Hierarchy code now gives a warning, which on confirmation, deletes correctly
•The View Manager is significantly improved. Administrators can now create Views for the User Permission Groups, defined in the Accounts and Permissions form
•Administrators have greater control over Views and can copy or move them to any other User including Administrators, and to Permission Groups, by using the Toolbar; Cut, Copy and Paste tools.
