Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base consists of metadata in the form of Non-hierarchical data:

      Attribute Sets

      Reference Forms

And metadata in a hierarchy of Assets Types, visible in the Asset Type Explorer, where you can see how Asset Types relate to each other e.g. “Swing” is a sub-Asset of “Play Equipment”, which is a sub-Asset of “Parks Infrastructure”. Despite being hierarchically related, Asset Types data and operations are usually dissimilar. Each Asset Type:

      Defines Asset State Attributes

Defines Asset User Fields (labels and structure)

      Can set Valuation Attributes

      Can set Security Permissions

      Can hold Standard Templates for:

      Standard Actions

      Standard Defects

      Standard Inspections

      Standard Risk Events

Edit permission on the Knowledge Base is required before metadata changes can be made.
