Standard Defects allow for the consistent definition of Defects and simplifies their collection in the field. They also allow the definition of standard response times for Defects which are based on the Standard Defect. Standard Defects are created in the Knowledge Base by selecting the appropriate Asset Type and then selection the Insert > Standard Defect option from the Menu toolbar.
The Standard Defects form allows:
•Selection of an Attribute Set and hence the definition of user fields for Defects based on this Standard Defect.
•The definition of a Standard Action which will automatically be created when a Defect, based on this Standard Defect, is created.
•Icons to be used for both completed and uncompleted Defects based on this Standard Defect.
•The definition of response times for Defects based on the Standard Defect.
