This example is based on a Fresh install of Reporting Services. See Reporting Services Configuration for details.
Two AD Security Groups are used to distinguish between Conquest Administrators and Conquest Users:
•Start the Reports Manager e.g. http://Khawaja/Reports
•In the Home menu at the top of the Form, select the ‘Site Settings’ option then select the ‘Security’ category
•In the Settings Button Bar, click the ‘New Role Assignment’ button to open the ‘New System Role Assignment’ Form, giving:
•In the ‘Group or user name’ field enter the name of the AD Security Group that is used by Conquest Administrators
•Tick the ‘System Administrator’ checkbox then click OK
•Make another ‘New Role Assignment’
•Resulting in:
•In the Home menu at the top of the Form, select the ‘Home’ option, giving:
•In the Settings Button Bar, click the “Folder Settings” button, giving:
•Use the ‘New Role Assignment’ button to give all Reporting Services roles to the ‘Conquest Administrators’ Group, to manage reports:
•Create another ‘New Role Assignment’ for the ‘Conquest Users’ Group, to browse reports:
