This example is based on a Fresh install of Reporting Services. See Reporting Services Configuration for details.
Two AD Security Groups are used to distinguish between Conquest Administrators and Conquest Users:
• Start the Reports Manager e.g. http://Khawaja/Reports
• In the Home menu at the top of the Form, select the ‘Site Settings’ option then select the ‘Security’ category
• In the Settings Button Bar, click the ‘New Role Assignment’ button to open the ‘New System Role Assignment’ Form, giving:
• In the ‘Group or user name’ field enter the name of the AD Security Group that is used by Conquest Administrators
• Tick the ‘System Administrator’ checkbox then click OK
• Make another ‘New Role Assignment’
• Resulting in:
• In the Home menu at the top of the Form, select the ‘Home’ option, giving:
• In the Settings Button Bar, click the “Folder Settings” button, giving:
• Use the ‘New Role Assignment’ button to give all Reporting Services roles to the ‘Conquest Administrators’ Group, to manage reports:
• Create another ‘New Role Assignment’ for the ‘Conquest Users’ Group, to browse reports:
