The Function Editor is commonly used to record a financial function or class hierarchy. An entry from this hierarchy can then be assigned to any/all your Assets thereby allowing filtering and/or grouping of your Assets by a particular function.
This is configured the same as any other hierarchy. Refer to the Function Editor for more info.
Things to be aware of:
•If this hierarchy is to define the groupings for financial reports then make sure that all appropriate Assets have a function assigned to them. This sounds simple but it is a common reason, why some financial reports do not reconcile.
