The Knowledge Base hierarchy of Asset Types should be organized in as logical and economical a way as possible for Standard Items to provision Assets with:
•Standard Asset Types
•Standard Defects
•Standard Actions
•Standard Inspections
Standard items put at the right level of the Knowledge Base Hierarchy will avoid duplication and make for a correspondingly more robust Asset Hierarchy.
The Knowledge Base defines financial parameters on Asset Types, which are then applicable to all Assets of such an Asset Type. See the Asset Type Form - General Tab for details.
