In this example, selecting the Assets Tab of the Asset Form provides two Standard Lists grouped within Sub-Tabs; Parent Assets and Child Assets, where Parent means Ancestors and Child means descendants.
Select any row in either Standard List, for Tasks to show in the Assets Tasks Panel:
•Refresh retrieves the list from the database again
•Copy Child Asset(s), or Copy Parent Asset(s) see Copy Asset
•Move Child Asset(s), or Move Parent Asset(s) see Move Asset
•Export Child Asset(s), or Export Parent Asset(s) outputs the selected Assets to Microsoft Excel
•Delete Asset(s) will delete the selected Asset(s), as long as there aren’t any dependencies e.g. Actions or Defects that have not been Completed
•Select Asset opens an Asset Form for the selected Asset; so does double-clicking. If many Assets are selected, only the top-most is opened
•Select All selects all of the Assets in the List; like clicking the “Arrowhead” on the left of the column headings
•Add to Favourites puts the selected Asset rows at the bottom of the Favourites List. See The Favourites List
•Write to User Interface is a little used legacy of Conquest II; see The User Interface Button
•Show Disposed Assets is a display Task to show or hide Assets that have been Disposed of
Things to be aware of:
Until an Asset in the list is selected, only the Refresh and Show Disposed Assets Tasks are visible.
The Copy, Move and Export Tasks are plural, if more than one Asset row is selected.
If you accidentally use Add to Favourites with a large selection of Assets, you can’t reverse it. You’ll have to remove them one by one, or ask Conquest Support to help with a SQL script.
