Setting up and maintaining Cost Types is an administrative function available in the Configuration section.

Cost Types are the Root items of the Expense Streams in the Expense Stream Hierarchy. Keep the number of Cost Types to a minimum and give them names that are clearly understood across all departments of the organisation that will use Conquest Foresight. Individual departments may use their own terminology for Project specific Expense Streams of the Cost Types but the Cost Types are common to the entire organisation so that cost comparisons can be made on similar projects in different departments.
