Uploads - Things to be aware of

During an Upload the mobile device needs to remain active. Sleep and Hibernation mode can interfere with an Upload as can a Group Policy to Log off idle sessions. In all cases the Upload will lose connection and fail, resulting in the Upload transaction being rolled back.

For CMTPC versions up to 3.0200 the Upload can be started again from the beginning. However, CMTPC 3.0201 onwards can be reactivated or restarted and the Upload Process resumed from the point of failure.

Note for DBAs: The locking strategy for Upload Transactions is READ COMMITTED. The database option for READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT is expected to be OFF.
