To create an Action from a Request

In the Request Form Either:

•      Select a Standard Action from those available in the Action Response picklist, which is populated with all Standard Actions that have been marked as Action Responses

or…

Open the Action Tab, then click the Create Task (If available) from the Actions section of the Task Window

Input the Action Data for the works to be performed on the Asset

Things to be aware of:

An Action created with the Create Task is Ad hoc by default because an Asset is yet to be assigned. When it has been, click the Apply Standard Action Task from the Tasks Window and select the desired Standard Action.
