The Conquest Foresight application, referred to as Foresight, is a “Life Cycle Planning” software tool for financial management of Infrastructural Assets over the life time of a Business Project, where the objective is to provide the best financial outcome, while meeting the expectations of the business, in terms of outcome, schedule and budget.
Foresight is principally used for modeling and evaluating the total cost of ownership of infrastructural assets. Typically, the items to be considered in life cycle analysis are; investigation, acquisition, construction, operations, maintenance, revenue, disposal and taxation treatment of Assets.
Foresight can also be used for non‐asset projects that embody multiple sources of revenue and/or expense over a long time.
Some prior knowledge of “Life Cycle Planning” methodology will be of assistance in understanding the terminology of this document.
