Contractors

This form is available to Administrators and to Users with Edit permission on Actions.

This form is for recording Contractors for use in Actions.

Field

Description

Contractor

This is a list of all Contractors. To add a new one to this list Click the Add button.

Contact

If the name of the Contractor is a business then you can add a Contact name here.

Cert Date

This would record the date at which this Contractor received their certification.

Other Fields

The other fields on this form record the address and other business details.

User Field 1

This field is used to record any other data not listed in previous fields. This is commonly a used link to other corporate systems.

Resource

If this is ticked then this Contractor can have rates set as a Resource, and be assigned to Tasks in Actions.

Inactive

If this is ticked then this Contractor can no longer be selected for use anywhere. They are retained here for historical reference.

Action Categories Selector

This section is for assigning this Contractor to the different Action Categories. To assign this contractor to a category tick the box for the appropriate Action Category. A Contractor can be assigned to more than one Category. If Contractors have been assigned as login users (see User Accounts) then they will only be able to create/modify Actions that are assigned to an Action Category they are selected for.

Sub-Contractor Selector

A particular Contractor can have a number of sub-contractors and these can then be selected in the Action form by the Contractor. Sub-contractors have no effect on email or issuing the Action. They are purely for reference for A Contractor.
