Codes and Codesets are used throughout to build pick lists. A Code represents a single choice available in a pick list which a Codeset is the complete list of choices.
There are five (5) different types of Codesets used in Conquest

Description |
System Lists |
System lists are predefined Code Sets used by the system. System lists cannot be added or deleted as a whole |
User Lists |
Any user defined list which can be allocated to a User Field for Assets, Defects or Actions |
Condition List |
Used for the specific purpose of allocating a condition rating and score for a Condition Attribute |
Element List |
These are used to define the different elements of an Asset that would be used to record a Defect |
Consequence of Failure |
These are lists that are used to score Consequences of Failure in the Conquest Risk Module |
Defect Lists |
These have been superseded by Standard Defects |
Code Editor
The Code Editor gives access to the data behind field drop-lists in Conquest known as Code Lists.

Code Caption |
This is the name of the Code List. It appears as the label field that appears on the forms. |
Code |
This column shows the system-generated, unique number that identifies a list item. Use this value in bulk import or update files to represent the attribute. |
Text |
This column is where the user can enter the description of the drop list option. This would appear in the drop down list of the relevant field on the form. |
Points |
This field can be used to specify the weight for the different options. This is fairly important for some of these Codes such as the Priority Parameters and Condition Codes |
Add Category |
Selecting this button will create a new Code in the selected section. |
Remove |
This Button will remove the selected Code List. This can’t be done for System Codes. |
Add Code |
For adding a new Code to the currently selected Category. |
Delete Code |
Deletes a Code from the currently selected Category. |
Up/Down Arrows |
Use these arrows to move the selected Code up or down in the list. |
