Most Reports have parameters for entry into the Reporting Services web client Parameter Interface at run time:
• For best performance Conquest III supports Pre-filling of the Report Parameters, before the Report is passed to the Reports Server, which is better than Reporting Services “best guess” method:
• Ticking the Pre-fill checkbox activates the Parameters in the Pre-Fill Form:
• Pre-fill is the recommended way to process Conquest Report Parameters. However you can use the Reporting Services web client Parameter Interface, although the Report may take significantly longer to run:
•Note: If you are asked to run a Valuation Report over a large filter of Assets, and tick the Show Detail checkbox, to show those Assets. The Microsoft Reporting Services server may not have sufficient capacity to output the many pages this will result in. In which case, the report will probaby run for a long time before failing. This is an IT configuration issue, not a fault in Conquest.
