Introduction

CMTPC is specifically designed for use on a “Touch Enabled” Windows Tablet PCs, with a Stylus or Touch Pen rather than by Keyboard, giving the inspector more freedom to record data, while actively doing the Inspection. However, Windows Notebook PCs without a touch screen, can still be used via the keyboard and mouse.

For details on the Prerequisites to CMTPC see Client Side Prerequisites.

CMTPC records field inspections on Assets registered in Conquest, which can consist of condition assessments, new Defects and the assignment of Actions for remedial work.  CMTPC is able to use a GPS device to assist in locating existing Assets.  Defects can have their spatial position recorded on a map to assist in locating them at a later date.

CMTPC operates by downloading data and map files for an Inspection Program and, optionally, a list of Customer Requests, pre-defined in Conquest.  Field Inspectors are then able to record information about specific Defects identified during the Inspection process and assign Actions to them.

Customer Requests that have been downloaded can be related to Defects and/or Actions as they are recorded.

New Actions and Actions from earlier Inspections can be Completed as part of the Inspection process.

Once the field inspection is finished, the Inspection, Asset, Defect and Action data is uploaded to the Conquest database, where it can be grouped and prioritised to prepare reactive maintenance plans.
